Transaction logs could help, but the article doesn't mention them as a means of recovery. Their infrastructure provider (Railway) has given them no recovery solution so PocketOS has to help its clients recover manually from other sources. The article said the only complete backup of the database they had was from three months prior.

Railway should have been able to recover that data. They're responsible for the data loss.
