Nobody buys US products overseas because the tariffs along with our high costs make our goods completely unaffordable so all we do is buy other country's shit. However, the medicine for trade imbalance may be like giving chemo to someone who is already chronically malnourished. The economy should be stronger in order to tolerate the impact. We have a weak debt ridden economy and the bubbles are bursting.
