,ndo your theme is usually that the good "has to" prevail. As far as the US is concerned I don't see that as given.

Average Americans are angrier, more suspicious, poorer, less trusting, less community minded, and far more cynical than in 2016.

This election will be bloody just because there is only hate and the losing side, even in a decisive defeat, will accuse shenanigans.

And our economics and particularly the US debt makes the US vulnerable to outright collapse if events become toxic. I mean devaluation of the dollar to lows that make business impossible here.

Even the UK government is meddling in the election against Trump:

I'll lose everything if the US melts down but I see total collapse as something we really truly deserve as a country. We embrace evil.
