From 2008-2016 and 2020-present, they've been hardcore purging non-commies from the military. You don't get to be senior in the military without many years of experience. There just isn't a pool of non-commies to pull leadership from, because everyone who fits that description has already been purged.

I don't think they'll go to civil war yet. They'll let Trump win but then block him at every step for 4 years like they did last time.

If there's a Democrat politician who wants to be President, they're better off with Kamala losing so they can run 2028 in an contested primary. If Kamala is the incumbent, she wins the 2028 primary uncontested and then they have to wait until 2032 to run.
