Marc Elias will undoubtedly use his lawfare tricks, but this isn't 2020. Back then, Republicans were unaware of all the ways Democrats would cheat. Now that Ronna McDaniel is gone from the RNC, the team of Michael Whatley and Lara Trump have filed about 100 lawsuits against various states when they try to get a cheat going in their state. They've only been there since March 2024. What they've done isn't perfect, but they've stopped a lot of it using the same lawfare tactics as Elias.

A big problem this time is illegals voting and mail-in ballots received from phony addresses, either domestically or from overseas. The RNC will keep suing if things don't look right, just like Elias and the Democrats do. Republicans were blindsided by the steal in 2020, but not now. All eyes are on the various ways the Democrat machine will try to rig the election.

No matter how the election turns out there will be chaos. I like Trump's goal of "too big to rig". I hope he's right and it turns out that way, but who knows what kind of hell we'll have to go through anyway.

My gut feeling is that Democrats are on a downhill trajectory. There is no real enthusiasm for Kamala and maybe a cheat wouldn't look credible, so maybe they'll just cripple a Trump presidency as much as they can. Its plan B.
