I'm so glad your feeling better and that the doctors were able to help you. Stress like you have is very hard to deal with, especially family stress. You've dealt with some awful family situations for many years that I'm sure you internalized. You can't change those situations, but you need to find a way to change how you react to them.
I know that's easier said then done. I've always found writing out your feelings helps and for many years I used oil painting as a way to shut down my overactive mind. That worked for me. You need to find something like that to lose yourself in.
