I just scratched the surface. I was kept for 8 days, from Friday the 2nd through Sat the 10th.

Many tests regarding the heart. Mine wasn't doing that well. I now have a pacemaker. I do feel much better - I had been declining in strength and just being able to do shit since last fall. The doctors are going to be swapping drug therapies to get to the bottom of AFIB and other issues.

To paraphrase Idiocracy's Surgeon General's warning:

My symptoms were entirely gastric distress and acid reflux. The heart issue seemed to be the ultimate cause.

I didn't have a heart attack or any heart damage such as blood clots. It's still a bit of a mystery what caused this. But I'm blessed and thankful I'm still here.

Where I can continue to be a plague on the earth.
