Or there is Patrick-Bet David (Valuetainment, PBD podcast) who has fat stacks from an insurance MLM and is ideologically similar to Trump. But I doubt he is at the level to resist persecution either. A PBD national candidate who actually got traction for MAGA policies would probably wind up like Mike Lindell (the "My Pillow" guy) who was getting legally hammered for theories about Dominion voting.

Such a counter candidate can't just be rich, he has to be obscenely wealthy.

If you move farther away from the Trump orbit there is someone like Jeff Bezos, or Bill Gates... but we're talking anti-MAGA, pro globalist now. Those guys are wealthy enough to stand up but would be for more destruction.
