In light of the following:

- Trump's recent huge campaign rally successes on the Jersey Shore and the South Bronx
- Trump's conviction of all 34 counts in the NYC kangaroo court
- The apparent uptake of support for Trump among people of color who have affinity for Trump as an outsider who is being persecuted (you have blacks being interviewed saying things like "Trump's my nigga, he's a gangster")

The thing that concerns me is that this is still personality cult material.

The new support for Trump is not founded on ideas or principles or policy. In large measure it's organic support for Trump as an outsider who opposes a notion of corrupted "law and order".

A personality cult is not robust.

I'd like to see someone who is an understudy to Trump who could leverage off of his popularity with the same base and continue the principles.

But that person really doesn't exist. The closest one to that understudy person is Vivek Ramaswamy, and even Ann Coulter told him she wouldn't vote for him because he was ethnic Indian. She's racist but probably reflects a large chunk of the conservative side. And even if VR *were* recognized as "Mini-Me Trump", he just doesn't have the roughness and bluntness that makes Trump unique.

The MAGA support base is fragile and could collapse entirely if something happened to Trump. Its not just the "America first" notion, it's wrapped with bluster and posturing for strength. This is not an enduring frame of support.

Oh yeah, you'd see insurrection for real and blood in the streets and political assassinations and the like if the CIA killed Trump. People fighting and being pissed isn't a movement. It's a reason to lock down the country with permanent martial law.

The country is done, stick it with a fork. Our only hope is one man, Trump, who is entirely alone and who could be rubbed out or made irrelevant almost instantly.
