I should have said that SS works like a Ponzi scheme, but it is fully backed by the US Government. A real Ponzi scheme is criminal and has no guarantee. Its based on deception. SS has worked since 1935. Adjustments can be made to keep it solvent so future generations will benefit, so don't feel guilty.
