The US is fertile ground for this stuff (Public Board)

There is a concept that what drives color revolutions and socialist and communist uprisings is an intelligentsia that has poor employment prospects. Allegedly many of the foot soldiers of the Bolshevik revolution were teachers, attorneys, etc who were the core support of the movement. It didn't come from the proles, factory workers and common people - it came from highly educated types who would be elites in a functioning society, which the Tsar Nicolas Russia was not.

I think that's pretty much the case now in the US in the socialist hotbeds. There's an oversupply of college educated weenies with useless degrees, especially in major cities, and there is a pretty well blocked employment path for using those degrees. Also figure in the hype around AI destroying brain work jobs.

Therefore, communism is a slam dunk in our current environment. With my resume, stunted career path, and high degree of personal bitterness I would definitely be a flaming socialist if I were 30-40 years younger.

The only thing that keeps me from supporting outright communism or socialism is a historical insight that socialism generally brings everyone down. I know things because I'm > 60. Younger people aka dumbasses don't have that knowledge, their parents are Gen Xers and probably didn't even have awareness of the big picture of socialism.

Bottom line: without knowing better I'd not only support burning the system down the ground but I'd even bring the lighter fluid and the s'mores. And quantifiably, most Americans, in fact I'd say 90% or more, don't know shit about anything in terms of the larger world.

Knowledge is the only restraint from socialism. Everyday real US people have no knowledge. If you put the average US voter in front of a globe and told them "find Iran" they wouldn't even be able to find the continental US.

Guys like Mandami have an incredibly fertile ground to work in today. And no movement from the government at any level to make anything better for the common man.

Trump honestly doesn't care or even see these relationships. In fact he likes inflation and wants housing to remain high. He said so. You will say he cares - I say that is an idiotic fanboy assertion, Trump and of course all of the US government, does not care whatever what our plight is.
