Rep to Jo... (Public Board)
If the Pope felt he had to comment he should have said something like "let us pray for peace in the world". That would've been enough because he has no understanding of world affairs. He was scolding in his comments and it was political. He's a Chicago Democrat, I'm sure. In the end he doesn't matter, but Trump will always punch back against attacks from the left-wing machine.
The reason Trump went into Iran is to get their nuclear material and stop their nuclear weapon ambitions. When Iran bragged to our negotiator Steve Witkoff that they had enough material for 12 nuclear warhead missiles and wouldn't give up their nuclear weaponization ambitions, Trump decided to act to rid the world of this imminent threat from Iran. After 47 years of BS from Iran they only have a short window of time to agree to a deal, or else Trump will continue their naval blockade of Iranian ports in the Strait of Hormuz. Economically, it hurts Iran. Trump will continue bombing too if they don't give in.
Iran is different than North Korea in that it funds terrorism around the world. Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis were funded by Iran. It has destabilized the entire Middle East. The Arab countries approve of what the US is doing and want the US to finish the job. The Iranian people are thankful to the US for freeing them from the evil regime.
Of course its destabilizing, not only to America but also the world. The price and availability of energy affects every country. Two weeks after the war started, the cost of home heating oil soared to $4.95 a gallon from $3.79. That was on March 13. I knew there would be pain and don't like it but I don't think it'll be long term.
China will be very affected by the blockade of Iranian oil. Also, they lost Venezuelan oil. It'll be interesting when Trump meets with President Xi in China on May 15. I don't have a crystal ball so we'll see what happens.
