Renee Good Shooting and Officer Ross's mental state (Public Board)
First off: Amen, brother. You're preaching to the choir. I'm not a "sovereign citizen" (or UK variant: "Kommon Lawr"/"Magner Karter") type. If law-enforcement officers demand that I get out of my vehicle, I'm getting out of the vehicle. Even if I think they are being meanies and are wrong. Day in court and all that. I wouldn't be bird-dogging LEO teams, obviously, or getting into shouting matches with LEOs.
Second off: I'm sure that you can see the very concerning difference between your local Officer Friendly who lives down the street and whose kids go to school with your kids, or even the state trooper in full uniform swaggering in and out of his very clearly marked official vehicle and what we are seeing here.
ICE moving around internally, far from the borders, in unmarked vehicles and with only the same level of official-looking uniform-y stuff and vehicle lights that I could order myself from Amazon. They're clad in tacticool camo and with shysties (aka balaclavas) or Punisher skull gaiters and shit like that and are operating like a bunch of Simon 'Ghost' Reilly wannabes.
We're seeing Problem, Reaction, Solution in real time.
One side tees up the Problem (illegal hordes via borders that varied from undefended to concierge-level welcome, a bunch of barbaric nationalities hoovered up intentionally using smartphone apps and flown in, given some gibs, and then set loose on 'parole', etc.) and gets the Reaction churning. The other side comes in with the "Solution" (panopticon surveillance, multiple overlapping LE agencies in plainclothes and unmarked vehicles engaging in ops deep inside the country, multi-pronged effort to push digital IDs, etc.).
It's not good. I am observing what's happening. Not offering solutions.
