Clearly the superior path is to buy Denmark. You get Greenland automatically, you get a beachhead into Europe, control over the Russian Baltic naval and merchant fleets, control over the North Sea, lots of scope for military bases, unhindered access to blowing up any Nordstream at any time, and Danish women.

This business with Greenland is merely an opening gambit.
