I remember your conversation with him about the 90 day fiance. How he could think that was a good idea, I don't know. That's the epitome of being oblivious to risk. It was also not a good idea to face off with the guy in the grocery store. I don't care how you feel at the time, its just not worth it.

He didn't make the best decisions in life. I agree that he probably drew a gun but shooting him 40 times in the chest is just sickening. Maybe he had more than a handgun. I always saw him as a very Russian man. They have an intense outlook on life and are pretty extreme in their viewpoints. Many years ago, I worked next to a Russian company that rented space in the building my company was in. They were mostly antisocial and always looked strung out about something. They were depressing people. Dictum/Unix was like that, IMO.

None of us will ever be remembered individually except by the people that love you. That only lasts as long as they do. Then you're forgotten forever. Its sad for Dictum to leave a legacy like that for his family. I'm sad for them. Its a stain.
