I'd *totally* give the Pride people a booth or even a section at the country fair. With the understanding that they don't harass fair goers and they stay family friendly. They can pay the booth rent like everyone else.

For sure. They can join in like everyone else provided they behave themselves like everyone else. IOW don't breach standards. IOW don't do anything that looks like teaching kids bad values.

I know what you're saying but I think it's not the best choice of words. I would have a standard, a standard that people are happy with and makes sense, and I absolutely would not compromise on that standard.

IMHO, it's the pandering to the squeaky groups (as in "the squeaky wheel gets the grease"), IOW the compromising of standards, that has caused many of the problems we face today.
