I didn't experience it and we avoided town on that day.

Lebanon seems to be obsessed with fucking with everything and removing anything traditional. The local motto is "historic charm: redefined" but the local authorities essentially shitcan everything familiar about the place. IMO nobody older would be comfortable with this place.

Even the farmer's market is shitty. No old guys in coveralls displaying bushels of corn at great prices. No, you see a dead market with few customers and small baskets of zuchinni, $2 apiece (and two were spoiled when we got home.) In fact one vendor was marking up the squash just as I turned around to grab some. The money grubbing behavior is almost comical. Some other guy selling a selection of crazy weird gourmet mushrooms and fungus. Candles and fragrance shit. Maybe ONE legit farm which we trust, and the rest bullshit overpriced vendors.

This town is ghetto. I wrote about a road rage shooting death a month ago near us. And a day ago there was apparently a home invasion shooting death pretty close to the bicycle trail that I frequent(ed). Plus the drivers are so adversarial and angry with constant tailgating and whipping in and out of lanes almost clipping other vehicles on purpose that it's wearying just driving somewhere here.

So in that context of the people and this area both being totally shitty, Pride is just another nail in the coffin of what was a decent small town.

I believe ultimately the changes are due to suburban sprawl from Dayton and Cincinnati - this was a farm town and now it harbors normie dumbasses from the city.
