The dangers of injecting liquified CO2 into an artesian basin (Public Board)

What a bad idea. This is what AI on the Brave Browser said about the Great Australian Basin.

"The Great Artesian Basin is a significant hydrogeological system located in Australia, covering more than 1.7 million square kilometers. It is the largest and deepest artesian basin in the world, stretching across parts of Queensland, New South Wales, South Australia, and the Northern Territory. The basin provides the only source of fresh water through much of inland Australia, with measured water temperatures ranging from 30 to 100 °C (86 to 212 °F).

The basin is an artesian aquifer, meaning that it is under pressure within a body of rock and/or sediment, and water is brought to the surface without pumping. The aquifer is surrounded by layers of impermeable rock and clay, which apply positive pressure to the water. This unique feature allows for the natural flow of water from the aquifer to the surface, making it a vital source of freshwater for the region.

The Great Artesian Basin is one of the largest underground freshwater resources in the world and is an important part of Australia’s water management strategy."

Why would anyone want to experiment with this? I hope saner heads will prevail.
