I read the rest of the article and think he was involved in something really, really bad that was an FBI setup. He was supposedly a Russian dissident that favored Ukraine, so how could he be a Russian spy? Dictum didn't seem like the type to be an international spy but whatever he did must've been very risky. I don't know what he did and can only speculate.

All he ever cared about was the well-being of his son. He probably knew he wasn't going to make it after what he did so he buried $50k for his son. Geez, what a horrible ending for Dictum and his family. So sad.
