Trump set a trade trap for China - P.A.G.A.N. - People Against Goodness And Normalcy

Xi retaliated against the US instead of negotiating tariffs with Trump. He wouldn't come to the table like other nations did, so China isolated themselves from the world. Then they tried to gain allies in their fight against US trade tariffs. The EU and Australia don't want to be involved with China's fight.

Yesterday, Trump excluded smartphones, computers and other electronic devices from tariffs to give American businesses time to move production to the US in the next two years. I'm not sure how this will affect China trade talks but they probably don't like the idea of all those businesses leaving their country. Maybe its a wake-up call for Xi that he has to make a deal.

There's been some chopping and changing with these tariff plans, seems like some reacting to circumstances. We'll see how it plays out.

Its going to take some time to work out the details on trade deals. It's a realignment of world trade with the US and something that should have happened long ago. People need to be patient. Its going to be a rocky road for awhile but it'll work out in the end and be very prosperous for the US.
