Not-Deep Thoughts

The wife's body was surrounded by sleeping pills. Probably a suicide attempt unless she simply fumbled the bottle.

Bodies decomposed so they had been dead for weeks.

Family announced on the news that they were "devastated." I LOVE the "devastated" family that never visited and had no idea!!! A gardener found them so they had absolutely no visitors in the recent past.

I just heard that the wife's body was surrounded by pills. They didn't say what kind. They were both reclusive so they probably didn't see family much. You would think the kids would stay in touch with their 95 year old father but apparently not.

The dog died too. I read the door to their house was open but there were no signs of forced entry. At least someone found them. It sounds like carbon monoxide poisoning or something like it.

Its awful if its true. He was 95 and should have had a caregiver of some kind checking on him. How the wife died of Hantavirus doesn't make sense to me. There's something odd about this story that doesn't seem right.

Yeah, one would think with all that money that they would have hired one. They likely valued their privacy but still. Perhaps Gene was estranged from his kids.
