Today, Hamas returned the bodies of 4 hostages that were killed while in Hamas custody. There were an old man, two children including an infant, and their mother. The IDF claims that they did forensic analysis on the bodies. 3 of them match, but the mother's body is some random person that they can't match, either to the mother or any other hostage.

Hamas supporters are going to say Israel is lying, they returned the right body. Israel supporters are probably going to believe Israel. I'm 99% sure that Israel is right here, but obviously I'm not able to check that their forensic analysis is correct.

I think it's obvious what happened. A young Jewish female probably fetches $5M+ on the underground sex slave market. They probably smuggled her to Egypt and sold her.

During the "hostage corpse release", Hamas had a big public event. There was a huge crowd all shouting their support of Hamas, acting like they had just won the Super Bowl. They have done this for every hostage release so far, but celebrating corpses should be seen as obviously crossing the line of decency.

Three buses exploded in Israel at 8:30pm local time. They were empty at the time and there were no casualties. Apparently, the buses were SUPPOSED to go off at 8:30am tomorrow, but terrorists don't know how clocks work. After a search, Israel uncovered a bunch of other unexploded bombs that were set to go off 8:30am tomorrow. The details probably won't be released until tomorrow, as it's the middle of the night right now and Israel is frantically searching for any other unexploded bombs.

It's not clear who organized the attack. One source said Hamas "claimed responsibility", but it's not clear if the organizers were from Gaza or the West Bank. It's also unclear if this means the ceasefire is over, as organizing an act of mass bombings doesn't sound very ceasefire-like.

Allegedly, public opinion in Israel is now close to 100% supporting "Let's clear out Gaza and the West Bank".

Its such a tragic story of the mother and her two children. Hamas killed the children with their bare hands and who knows what happened to the mother. Hamas returned a new body they claim is hers but Israel has not confirmed it yet. The fact that the crowds were cheering Hamas when the corpses were paraded through the streets is just sickening and tells you all you need to know about the Palestinian population there.

Thankfully those buses were empty when they exploded. It could be anyone over there that carried out the attack. Why would Hamas do something like that now when they have a ceasefire deal in place? It doesn't make sense to me. Hamas has a lot to lose if they don't release the rest of the hostages.

I don't think Israel has any other choice but to clear out Gaza and the West Bank. Its self-preservation for them.

Why would Hamas do something like that

How do you know for a fact that they have. Because Israel said so? I have read credible reporting that the buses were a false flag by Israel.

I'm not asserting that one version of events is true and the other is false. Because I'm not sure. I do not have enough info to reconcile the conflicting reporting into a single working theory that I'm comfortable with. What I am doing is asking you why are you so certain.

The modern state of Israel was founded by pharisees. And you know what Christ said about pharisees. He said words to the effect that pharisees twisted the words of the scriptures into the opposite. And he literally said that they were the sons of the father of lies. In other words, that they were congenital liars. So why do you accept the word of Israelis without corroboration? That is my question to you.

The Shylock factor - Oy

^ That has occurred to me too. There is no moral high ground in the Mideast. Israel already has standing military doctrine for executing its own citizens' hostages in order to avoid ransoms and negotiation. They're capable of anything. Meanwhile Gazans in the street are pretty much complicit in Hamas demonstrations.

My opinion almost always comes back to let 'em kill each other and we stay out of it. But noooooooooo.

Who To Believe, Jews or Muslims?

by FSK, Sunday, February 23, 2025, 15:57 (183 days ago) @ ,ndo

I've had a lot of negative experiences with Muslims. I see them on the street, and they look at me like they want to slit my throat, and are just waiting for the "go" signal to do it.

Israel has done a handful of bad things, which tend to get overhyped and repeated over and over again. For every "bad thing" Israel has done, you can name at least 10 atrocities committed by Muslims against Jews.

If Jews "hate Muslims and non-Jews", then why does Israel have a substantial Muslim population (20%) along with other groups like Druze? Recently, some Druze border villages declared they'd rather be part of Israel than Syria. Whereas Muslim countries in the Middle East are close to 100% Muslim. Obviously, the group that "hates people who are different" is Muslims much more than Jews.

From what I read, every "bad thing" Israel does is a reaction to bad things by Muslims. Palestinians swarm Israel with suicide bombers, so Israel builds a border wall. Palestinians use weapons and rockets to attack Israel, so now Israel checks all packages and shipments. Muslims declare war on Jews in 1947, but Israel wins and winds up kicking some belligerent Muslims off their land.

I'm much more likely to believe Israel than Muslims. For every bad thing that happens nowadays, there's always someone saying it's a false flag. Was the recent bus bombing a false flag? Possible but unlikely. There's always going to be someone saying it's a false flag, for every single bad thing everywhere. They can't be right 100% of the time, or even a substantial amount of time.

Indeed... USS Liberty incident anyone?

They're quite deep statey and not infallible.

Even if the Israelis are nearly 100% justified the optics are always against them.

Indeed... USS Liberty incident anyone?

by FSK, Monday, February 24, 2025, 17:21 (182 days ago) @ Cornpop Sutton

That sort of is my point. In many places, you can post any of the pro-Israel points, and someone will retort "But what about USS Liberty!", as if that ends the discussion and proves without a doubt that Israel is 100% evil.

For every "bad" thing Israel did (USS Liberty, Deir Yassin), you can point to many more bad things Israel's enemies did. Even for the "bad" things, there usually is an explanation. For USS Liberty, the explanation is that ships wearing false flags was a thing, and the US ship was in a location contrary to where it was supposed to be and told Israel it was. So Israel's pilots assumed it was a Muslim ship carrying a US flag to be tricky. For Deir Yassin, there were a ton of atrocities committed by Muslims against Jews in the period 1920-1947, and some of the Jewish soldiers lost their patience. Israel didn't have the spare troops to occupy hostile Muslim villages behind their lines, so their only choices were to force everyone to flee or murder everyone.

"Any criticism of sainted special Israel shall not be tolerated and is wrongthink."

I'm indicating:

Israel lies all of the time (just like the US, Russia, etc)

Israel has exceptional brutality built into its military and self defense culture

Israel isn't perfect.

Israel had to claim the exact GPS coordinates in its creation, which creates perpetual war.

I actually AGREED with you that essential genocide of Gazans would be necessary to secure Israel's territory. But it's completely immoral too since so many innocents are swept up. Which of course is Hama's strategy, to create conditions that make anything Israel does be soaked in blood and murder. It's lousy optics to fight something like Hamas.

Who To Believe, Jews or Muslims?

I've had the same kind of negative experiences with Muslim men. I remember sitting in a train station in a business suit with high heels waiting for a train. A Muslim man with his wife dressed in a full black burqa went by and he stared at me like he wanted to beat me because I wasn't covered up. It was chilling.

Muslims are the haters. They have a closed society to any other culture. I've never had a Muslim friend ever, but I've had many Jewish friends.

I didn't say that Hamas carried out the bus attack. I said it could be anyone over there that did it. It didn't make sense to me that Hamas would do something like that during a ceasefire deal with Israel.

No one knows for sure who did it.

Hamas isn't one monolithic organization. There are lots of independent cells, who each do whatever they feel like doing. They don't have a command structure like a normal army.
