The US has single handedly shaped the entire world since WWII. The world reserve currency, massive amounts of regime change, and the US-ification of the consumer economy, fashion and politics in almost every country.

I'm also not drumbeating the intangible "exceptionalism" thing. Objectively the US has reshaped recent civilization.

But I whole heartedly agree that this is a great time to be alive.

We are living in massively historic times. The American Revolution was a blip relative to the entire world because we had no real power or an economy in 1776. In 2025 we dominate wealth and influence around the earth.

Hence, the de-fanging of the US's massive corruption may be the single biggest geopolitical event in a few centuries. IE: the collapse of the USSR was small beer in comparison.
