Because JFK was assassinated there is a sepia toned wash of good vibes over Kennedy and his presidency. I suspect the truth back then was quite a bit more complex.

The prevailing non mainstream but common assumption today is that JFK was taken out by the CIA as retribution and as damage control owing to key failures such as the Bay of Pigs and the Cuban Missile Crisis almost resulting in nuclear war. I believe also that at the time JFK was considerably more of a war dove than the establishment wanted, and he probably would have curtailed US involvement in Vietnam.

I suspect Kennedy's presidency may have been perceived a bit like Carter's if he wasn't assassinated. Maybe Clinton's if he had done really well domestically with civil rights and the economy.

I vill trransmit this information to Vladimir.
