Yeah I saw someone on youtube say that. They went further and said that the officer that killed the driver had on a previous occasion been dragged 100 metres down the street by one of these protest cars. Apparently his arm got caught in the door.

If that is true, you can imagine what was going through his mind when this latest car moved at him. Not letting that happen again, is my guess.
