I can't believe Trump and the Republicans got it done. It wasn't a perfect bill, but for once they all worked together and passed it. There was lots of drama , as usual, but this is Trump's signature legislation for his agenda. There are a lot of tax breaks for the working class and seniors. I don't know all the details yet, but I've already received an email from SS about tax changes coming:

We'll see how completely ignoring the national debt and increasing the debt ceiling $5T works out. Trump says we'll make it back. He's definitely not an austerity guy.
Having said that the US is completely boxed in on solutions to our debt and spending levels. Avoiding a dramatic personal tax net increase was probably necessary to avoid cratering the economy. As for the rest we'll see.
