Musk/Trump Feud (Public Board)

What the heck happened with Elon Musk? First he goes ballistic over Trump's "big, beautiful bill" calling it an abomination and the next thing you know he's saying the Epstein files aren't being released because Trump is in them. Then he calls for Trumps impeachment.

At first I thought it might be a staged breakup between the two but now I wonder what Musk's real motivation was with Doge. His last day with Doge was May 30th, just a few days ago. Maybe that triggered some kind of autistic break with him or maybe he was just a weasel all along. Sure, he's done good things but I wonder what's up with him.

- An actual blood feud with openly stated sincere attacks.

- Planned distraction, IE a psy-op. Basically a laser pointer for the cat that is the mainstream media to chase. Notice that nobody's talking about Iran, Israel and Gaza, Epstein, P Diddy, Russian and Ukrainian nukes, etc.

- Elon butt hurt over losing EV tax credits that assisted his sales.

- "Other"

I have absolutely and positively no idea whatsoever. I really don't. I am totally confused. I have no bias toward any particular explanation. "They've both lost their minds and Elon is high on ketamine" is as good as any other idea.

You have Steve Bannon bloviating that Trump should take over SpaceX as a national security action, IE, communist seizure.

The US has entered late-stage stupidity IMO. Any explanation seems too obvious. But maybe it's like Occam's Razor, the simplest theory is the truth. Or not. Maybe it's 10-D chess.

Aside about D.O.G.E.

It sounds like almost everything that Musks' team identified as waste through the DOGE initiative is not implementable as changes in the budget or the law. Anything done as a presidential executive action will be cock-blocked by some judge somewhere with no standing.

Having said that it seems like most of Musks' time and effort in DOGE was absolutely wasted. I can clearly see that he has reason to be bitter... if this feud has anything to do with that.

Trump and Musk had an odd relationship. Musk became like Trump's shadow for months. Now that his stint with Doge has ended, he is acting like a vindictive abandoned lover.

I don't think he cared about the EV tax credits. He said as much a couple of months ago, but that was before the Tesla backlash. He wasn't happy when one of his BFF's, Jared Isaacman, was taken out of the running for the head of NASA because of donations to Democrats, but still, none of that is a reason for Musk to be so vindictive towards Trump.

Maybe Musk had great expectations that his Doge effort would change everything immediately. Its going to take time. He was able to do a lot of stuff real time, but the cost savings couldn't be included in the "big beautiful bill". Instead they have to be introduced through recission and reconciliation in new legislation. The Senate has complicated rules.

I think its pretty sad if their relationship ends this way. It looks like a blood feud where Musk is challenging Trump's power as the president. Trump would've gotten elected without Musk's help, but he certainly helped a lot. I thought he did it to help the country as opposed to some kind of scheme.
