This would be absolutely separate from the pardoned crimes. Pardons can't be like diplomatic passes that extend protection for any behavior.

Hunter would be forced to testify in fear of being held in contempt of congress, a new charge that he has no standing pardon for. And his testimony would be fact checked continually against evidence.
