Russian Hypersonic Attack on Dnipro, Ukraine (Public Board)

I'm posting this simply to comment on the appearance of the attack, up to 0:20 in the video.

(Ignore the lying actor/charlatan starting at 0:20.)

I saw this on different Youtube channels - it has received little airplay on the news.

When I first saw this video I thought it was ridiculously sped up footage. No, this is real time. The point of view of the camera work is probably a few miles away, and that is the actual speed with which the projectiles from the ICBMs reached the ground.

THAT IS FUCKING INSANE. These hypersonic missiles are rated for 2.5 to 3 km/sec or Mach 10, which is about 7000 MPH. They basically look like a video war game. The speed doesn't look real but you can't follow them with your eyes when they emerge from the clouds.

We're not used to seeing weapons this fast with our eyes. Bullets don't even compare to these things.

The faggot CNN headline at the bottom reads "RUSSIA TRIES TO RATTLE WEST BY TESTING NEW WEAPON ON UKRAINE." Advancing the narrative that Russia is weak and incompetent despite OBVIOUS technological superiority.

Mother fuck am I "rattled!" :-(

I HOPE RUSSIA DROPS A NUKE ON UKRAINE. I really do. The disconnect between narrative and reality is a light year at this point. The west needs to be taught massive lessons.

Russia could have dropped a nuke on Ukraine but didn't. I think they showed some restraint and I hope they'll continue to do that until Trump gets into office. Going nuclear is a whole new level of warfare and not a good one for anyone.

Biden wants to escalate the war before Trump takes office. Its his gift to Trump. What a bastard.

Russia is not going to nuke Ukraine.

Russia is going to annex a huge chunk of Ukraine, which means they'd be nuking their own country. The fallout would also hurt Russian cities.

Russia won the war in Ukraine. They have no need to escalate. If their troops hold their positions for 2 months, Trump will force Ukraine to settle and end the war. The settlement will probably be that Russia gets to keep some of the land their troops occupy, and give some of it back. Also an agreement for no NATO expansion to Ukraine.

This isn't like Israel vs Muslims, where the Muslims are willing to fight to the death to eradicate Israel and will never settle no matter what. There is no settlement, because Hamas has "We take everything you have and genocide you." as their baseline negotiating position. You can't settle when there's nobody to negotiate with. Even if Hamas "surrenders", there still will be non-Hamas terrorist groups who want war with Israel.

Russia will settle if they get to keep a chunk of Ukraine's territory and a promise of no NATO expansion.

Yes, all agreeable.

I find it desirable that Putin is willing to push things to the brink - at least say so - in order to force the US to allow Trump to negotiate something resembling detente.

I think in general the Russian missiles go faster than that in flight, about Mach 15, and slow down near target so that they can be manoeuvred ie targeted precisely. The only way a western air defence could stop one is by sheer fluke, where the defence missile just happens to get itself in the path of the incoming missile. Almost unstoppable.

Yes, that is my understanding as well.

It was a "head game" by Putin to showcase their capability. IMO something that high-tech probably can't scale up in production by an economy of Russia's size enough to significantly affect a full scale war. They're incredibly lethal but don't exist in massive numbers. IMO they probably shot 1/3 of their current stockpile of the things into Ukraine that night.
