I can't believe NY did this to anyone. Its government overreach at its worst. So the guy had a pet squirrel and raccoon. Its none of their business.

It says that in NY, it's illegal to keep a squirrel or raccoon as pets. That makes the police right on a technicality.
To test an animal for rabies requires killing it. I don't understand that part, especially if there was documentation of a rabies vaccine.
Doing this right before the election has to be the dumbest move ever.

This is traumatic and a violation of their rights. He wasn't a threat to the public, just a guy that had a pet squirrel. So what? Everyone has their thing but they don't need the government looking over their shoulder.
