Apparently he was in a domestic violence situation. This only a couple months after he was seen groping his girlfriend on camera, before covering the Trump debate. That was not long after he split up with his wife and moved back to the US after being overseas, leaving his daughter there.

He seems to have a lot of turmoil in his personal life for a guy that is so intelligent when it comes to other topics. No doubt he'd be out of a job by now if he were working for a "news organization". What a strange situation. He doesn't really strike me as the kind of guy that would beat on a woman.
