Anyone watch the debate? (Public Board)

Trump was criticized by many of his own supporters. I think he did pretty well for a guy that was triple teamed. ABC did a horrible job moderating the debate. Trump may have fibbed a bit but Harris told one lie after another. We might be able to see through every one of Harris's lies, but will the normies?

The aspect with barbecue sauce, I mean. :-D

(One of the key long bicycle tours I made when I was a teenager was from my parent's house in Dayton to downtown Springfield and return in the same day ... about a 60 mile round trip. I believe they decided on the best fit population size in the shittiest Ohio city when they selected Springfield to relocate 20K stupid Haitians.)

That popping up now just may sway the election. I mean the entire foreigner takeover aspect.

They played to their bases. I doubt many independents were swayed, HOWEVER Kamala Harris came off like a smug mocking condescending aunt.

True to form with anything involving Trump it was 0% about policy substance and almost 100% purely about personal attacks and revenge.

Trump was characterized by some vlogger as an angry patriot and Harris as someone's condescending aunt.

I know she was playing to her base - extremely low information liberals and those who are totally bought into racism and injustice memes. I hope decent people outnumber the slobs who would vote for her.

I am presupposing that anyone who wanted to see someone who is sober and intelligent would have liked Trump better, at least he seemed to take things seriously. Kamala always acts like she's drunk at a party, never serious except when she's lecturing you like you're 7 years old.

I feel sorry for the people of Springfield. It isn't fair that the government chose them to be the designated dumping ground for Haitians to live in their immigration scheme. Government didn't care that they destroyed their lives and I'm glad Trump bought up that the Haitians were eating their pets. I think that resonated with every pet owner in America. Of course, the MSM tried to pretend it wasn't true but Haitians are third-world people so what would you expect.

Springfield O is a ghetto and has been victimized by the ruling class

I'm quite familiar with the town. Basically there's nothing there that is a destination except a couple of tattered antique malls and maybe a good BBQ (not Haitian, not cat) place.

IMO Springfield was selected for Haitian bombardment because it contained mainly poor working class people, with no clout. Nobody currently famous is from Springfield so it has no champions. Nobody in neighboring cities cares about Springfield. We visited a couple antique malls there a couple of years ago and they were both shabby with few customers.

Not too far away from my house - Middletown, about 10 mi from me, has JD Vance. But Springfield - no one.

This is similar to ignoring East Palestine after the train wreck.

The ruling class selects winners and losers.

Springfield O has John Legend, the singer. He grew up there but he's just a liberal scumbag who actually had the nerve to lecture the people there from his CA mansion about how they should welcome their new neighbors. They're just looking for the American dream, after all. Of course he had to add stop spreading racist lies about the migrants. That's pretty cold to say to the people that have to deal with the impact on their daily lives.

The federal government shouldn't be allowed to socially engineer any city by dumping 15,000 third-world people there. That's too much.

The guy in the red baseball hat and overalls speaking to the city commission about the matter.

The guy predicts martial law within 3 months there.

Haitians in that town are able to walk into a gun store and buy AK-47s straight up with no wait or ID check.

If Trump is elected, there will be a period from the results being announced to inauguration on Jan 20 where anyone who is doing illegal things will be preparing to fight and resist. I expect civil war, probably with illegals on one side along with national guard, against citizens and veterans. I could see demands for asylum backed with hostage taking. This is gonna get nasty quickly.

That's insane. It's beyond gaslighting. The people who orchestrate this are evil.

That's absurd! I can't believe any gun store would even sell it to them. The government is so strict with American citizens buying guns yet a third-world dirt bag can just go in and buy one, no questions asked. It doesn't make sense.

Keep praying that Trump wins this election or we're all doomed.

That's a pretty good run on a bike (60 miles)! I can't say I have gone that far.

Any chance that Harris takes Ohio or would you say Trump pretty much as it in the bag?

The "normies" I talked to about the debate were frustrated about the lack of substance. There was really no clear winner. I guess Trump could be considered the winner though since he was triple teamed the entire time.

Harris told so many lies. Hope you're right about the decent people outnumbering the slobs.

It was not Trump's best debate performance because of the outrageous media bias by ABC. Trump was angry at the situation but he made the best of it. I really like when he was talking and Kamala started talking (even with the mic off) and Trump turned to her and said "I'm talking now." That was an excellent jab at her "I'm speaking now" condescending line that she always uses. She was bewildered by that remark and her facial expression showed it. She didn't get it.

I thought Kamala looked smug and almost theatrical in her facial expressions. That was disrespectful to Trump and just highlights her high-school mentality. She can't debate on policy because she own's the past four years, which have been horrid in every way for most people.

Tulsi Gabbard said acting lessons were part of Kamala's debate prep. I can see that, but she couldn't pull it off anyway. It all looked phony.

Yeah Trump was pretty cranky LOL. Who could blame him thought as he was triple teamed. It's scary to think that there are so many that probably won't be able to see through that.

Is it just me or did Harris look like she was about to cry a few times?

Trump Never Delivered a Kill Shot

He had so much to work with, with Harris. Maybe the friction with the hosts and the mocking by Harris played a role and drained his energy.

But clearly, Trump failed to deliver a definitive knockout blow. That is on him.

I think that lack of a kill shot is more than made up for with Harris's facial mocking and her only response to a request for "policies" being vacuous giveways that will simply inflate the housing market and turbocharge inflation.

PBD podcast made a great point about Trump's harping on the negatives of the US in decline.

PBD compared Trump's negative take on the US trajectory to a "fire and brimstone" preacher who tells everyone in the church that they're going straight to hell and hellfire if they don't get saved. That guy will have people lined up for altar calls . (That approach actually made baptist and evangelical churches grow like crazy in the 70s.)

Whereas the pastor who only preaches about God's eternal love and heaven being full of peace and love will get an anemic turnout.

Disaster talk gets attention and sells. Happy talk gets little traction.

I really think Trump did alright. Some polls indicate that Trump sold more undecideds than Harris after the debate.

The debate format isn't really a great way to showcase either candidate's strengths and weaknesses or specific points of difference. Trump is totally undisciplined about delivering a coherent logical message - he talks and debates by instinct.

It actually worked out okay without the knockout blow. Undecideds largely went for Trump after the debate, so his negative take on the US really sunk in. She did not get a bump in the poll after the appearance, unsurprisingly. Kamala is a phony snob in every way. I was surprised to learn that the ABC debate moderator, Linsey Davis, was her college sorority sister at Alpha Kappa Alpha. Even more surprising is ABC News didn't have a problem with that (not!). The MSM is disgustingly biased.

I remember the comment Trump made "that she put out" but I didn't take it that way. I thought it was his way of clarifying that she said she wasn't black, not him. It really could be taken either way.

"She Put Out"

NOBODY except a couple of people on Twitter noticed this magnificent burn that Trump delivered:

I read where she was not Black. That she put out. And I'll say that.

She screwed Willie Brown to rise in political influence. Pepperidge Farms, and Willie Brown remember.

Clearly he meant this for the superfans because it has passed unnoticed everywhere.
