If not JD Vance then Whom as VP nominee? (Public Board)

by Cornpop Sutton ⌂, A bad bad dude who makes good shine., Monday, July 22, 2024, 17:00 (369 days ago)

I get the disdain for JD Vance and Vivek Ramaswamy. Some find their personal stories unbelievable and fishy.

Just as Donald Trump was labeled when he gained momentum. But please fail to find the irony in embracing Trump while rejecting someone else for their fishy past. Only trump is allowed to have a fishy past.

So for VP, who passes your sniff test?

Remember, the person has to ALSO help pull votes.

My opinion: Most of the top runners either also have that problem of background (IE, Tulsi) or are not that well known nationally, or are somewhat boring or weird.

Jim Jordan - I love him, total bulldog, no taint, but not well known and not dynamic nationally.

Tim Scott - boring to me, not well known and not dynamic nationally.

Ben Carson - weird guy, not dynamic nationally. (oddly neither black candidate helps with diversity optics)

Tulsi - WEF member, inconsistent past.

Others, such as the ND governor whose name I forget (oh, Doug Burgham - uh who?)

My "unity" pick would be Jim Jordan. He seems to be squeaky clean on deep state or big money influence corruption and he would be as energetic as JD Vance.

But Vance will help pull more votes - he's basically already a celebrity.

One more thought about JD "Bowman" Vance

The guy is a newcomer so he's ripe for the pickings for hit piece journalism. Also he is going to be challenged publicly about his donor links.

I believe the truth will eventually come out. MAGA is very organic/grass roots and doesn't control the narrative tightly. The Dems could kill these stories that hit them but anything negative that is found on JD will wind up being seen before the election.

There will be money to be made in exposing whatever should be exposed.

Don't get me wrong either... I'm not in love with the guy. I just disagree with the negativity about his presence. I want facts, not rah rah nor unqualified suspicions. If he's phony I wanna know.

I dont believe the MAGA stuff nor Trump any longer. Trump was NEVER a right winger. Lets be real he was from NYC. I believe he used to say stuff just to wind people up. The elite disliked him for their own reasons. Probably because he was going to interfere with their money train. I dont believe for a second that Trump gives a shit about me, you or anyone else.

Want to know why he is running again? Because of his ego. He has a giant inflated ego and cant stand the fact that he was in only one term.

As for Biden, I cant stand him even more.

I believe that he loves his country.

If every country had a leader that genuinely loved his country, the world would be a better place.

Is that automatically a bad thing?

No doubt he wants to be remembered in the history books as the greatest President ever.

The oversensitivity of "some" folks here to personal quirks as disqualifiers is ridiculous.

Likewise I never got the hate for Vivek R. Similar "he sounds fake" rationales.

I mean WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU GOING TO DO vote Libertarian because Vance rankles you?

And then there are the people who will vote for someone because they like their hair or how they dress or good looking they are or some other physical characteristic. Style over substance.

As for HC, I enjoy reading his posts and and he is NOT in the above category but he does seem black pilled. I get it. But at the same time, what's the alternative?

Right. I don't mean or intend to call out a trusted colleague here. At some level you stop carping because you got 90% of what is necessary to defeat evil on this round.

My biggest peeve of the US, besides leftist corruption that is accepted as the center of mainstream politics, is the Federal Reserve which has lost control of money generation. The debt is probably going to hyperinflate and wipe out a good portion of the world's (and all of the US's) wealth.

I know that HC says that Trump is the wrong candidate because (among other things) Trump has been silent about the problem of the Fed.

Maybe Rand Paul would deal with the Fed and provide as soft a landing as possible because he is super smart and probably works out details, but he is not colorful enough to run for president.

You're limited by the field of choices for POTUS. We're getting a blowhard who was a NYC Democrat who had a genuine miracle in not being killed who has a huge heart for the common man. Plus a running mate with similar attributes who is 30+ yrs younger.

the Federal Reserve which has lost control of money generation

Odd choice of words. Perhaps I missed something. What needs to be done is repeal the Federal Reserve Act. The only entity that should be issuing money, in any country, is the government. The US Federal Reserve system is a bunch of private bankers. The number of things that are more wrong than that, you could count on one hand.

I am black pilled. I dont like either party but I do agree you have to work with what you have. Will I be voting for Kamala? F*CK NO. She is an idiot and is just another puppet of the deep state.

I agree with you about the limited field of choices. The first time around I said Trump was the Manchurian candidate. Considering how the deep state reacted to him told me maybe not the Manchurian candidate. He may still be the Manchurian candidate, I dont know.

With that being said I have considered that this may be all theater to wind everyone up. In other words the elite OWN both the left and right. They dont really give a shit who is in office but they do care if their money is interfered with. The whole thing is a show to get you to take your eye off the ball. The same way they stir the pot on racism intentionally winding people up for no reason.

This part is absolutely true. 98% of politicians elected get there on the basis of financial support of outsiders. Therefore, the outsiders actually make the decisions that purportedly are made by the politician. Any politician that tries to make decisions contrary to the interests of the outsiders doesn't get the financial or political support at the next election ...and doesn't get re-elected. It's plain as day.

Says good things but never achieved anything of substance. Devin Nunes puts him to shame.

I'm surface aware of Devin Nunez's work but many more voters recognize Jim Jordan.

When Trump unveiled Pence as his VP it felt like a monumental "thud". Like, who?

Ron Johnson, Wisconsin Senator

The guy is brash and raises all kinds of hell during Congressional hearings, but he could have helped Trump pick up Wisconsin, one of those toss up states that Trump narrowly lost in 2020.

He's probably too big of a personality for Trump though as Trump was looking for someone to play second fiddle to him.

I would have liked to see Carson as VP but he has his drawbacks of his own (i.e. too calm and in his 70s).

Name sounds familiar but he is not a household name at present.

I'm a real fan of Ron Johnson. He really investigates whatever issue he is involved in and isn't afraid to challenge those involved. He ran the Covid 19 Second Opinion panel in 2022 that challenged the government's response to Covid-19. I don't know if you ever saw any of that. It was 6 hours long. I watched a couple of hours of it and it was very compelling in so many ways.

I'd hate to lose him in the Senate. He's very effective there.
