Caitlyn Clark is currently the #1 most popular WNBA player. She got record ratings for the Final Four in college this year. She's selling out stadiums and getting great TV ratings.

They made the racist decision to leave her off the Olympics roster. They're offended that the most popular player in the league is White. How dare a White woman take away fame and glory that belongs to blacks!

This actually is the opinion of pro basketball players, both male and female. Recently, the NBA MVP was a White European, which they see as "taking jobs away" from other blacks. Some black players came out and said "If you're in high school or college, and you're playing against a star White player, make sure you foul them, injure them on purpose. Tear their ACL or cripple them, so they'll never be able to succeed as a pro." One dirty secret of sports is that there are plenty of opportunities to injure someone on purpose, and make it look like an accident or part of the game or regular foul.

They've even been doing this in the WNBA, with dirty fouls against Caitlyn Clark that the referees aren't calling. One clip went viral.

They made the excuse "Caitlyn Clark doesn't have enough experience." That's bullshit. They always put the top college player or top rookie on the Olympic team. (Example: Christian Laettner on the Dream Team.) The USA team is so much better than everyone else that they're a lock to win the Gold medal, unless they have a megachoke.

It's also an idiot economic decision. If she plays in the Olympics, even for 5-10 minutes a game, that's #1 in the ratings and there's a spillover effect to the WNBA games. Yes, she'll be eligible again in 4 years, but by then the hype cycle will have moved on to something else and the moment will have passed. When you have a surefire ratings draw, milk it for everything it's worth while you can.

I'm sure NBC is pissed, because now Women's Basketball at the Olympics goes from must-watch to nobody cares.

Like most leagues, the WNBA is a salary cap league. If Caitlyn Clark can increase WNBA revenue 20% by herself, that leads to a 20% raise for all players. It's an idiot decision to mistreat your gravy train like that.

I'm also sure that, if Caitlyn Clark was black and had the same level of popularity, she wouldn't have been snubbed for the Olympic team and she wouldn't be getting clobbered by other players on the court. It's a textbook example of anti-White racism.
