Israel Rescues 4 Hostages Alive (Public Board)

Israel rescued 4 hostages from Gaza.

I don't understand how Hamas let them be rescued. Isn't hostage 101 that you kill the hostages the moment you hear the IDF coming? Allegedly, the hostages were being held by "civilians" and not Hamas, which is supposed to make the rescue sound more evil for some reason. Israel killed a bunch of people during the rescue attempt, because the "civilians" were firing on the IDF and they returned fire. One IDF soldier died.

Hamas' response seems to be "Rescuing 4 hostages is bad news for the rest of the hostages.", which sounds like an implied threat that they are going to murder more hostages in retaliation for the rescue.

I doubt Hamas has enough living hostages left to make any sort of "hostages for ceasefire" deal.

Why are the sand n**gers of Hamas killing the hostages? They're the only bargaining chip that Hamas has left.

I'm trying to grasp the utility of this measure. All I can see is that Hamas is killing hostages out of hatred with no eye on strategy. "We lose bargaining chips, but killing the yahudis feels great, so more brutality."

Israel is doing exactly as you recommended: genocide of Gaza with no mercy.

No, what I'm advocating Israel should do is 100% kill all the Palestinians, no exceptions, no mercy.

They're selectively killing a few hundred here and there, but only a couple percent of the total population. They've also destroyed almost every building.

The "civilians" who died were actively firing against IDF troops performing the rescue. According to IDF sources, most of the people living in the area knew there were hostages there. (Allegedly, that's how the IDF found out they were there. They had spies who overheard conversations about the hostages.)

If someone is hiding hostages in their home, they don't get to complain if the IDF kills them.

How many people is it acceptable to kill to rescue one hostage? Zero? One? Ten? A hundred? A million?

If you say the IDF was wrong in raiding to rescue hostages, that merely justifies Hamas' strategy of holding the hostages in residential areas.

^ Don't get me wrong! I totally agree with you. There seem to be no neutral citizens in Gaza.

This is a really good look under the hood of how Hamas reasons. They are willing to martyr any Palestinian in order to put a thorn in Israel. So collateral death obviously isn't a big deal to them.

Hamas' strategy only works because of defective Western morality where civilian casualties are seen as wrong.

If Israel was allowed to use the same strategy as the US in WWII (indiscriminate bombing of the entire population), they would 100% murder all the Palestinians and Hamas' strategy would fail.
