"Let me get this straight. Mohammed said he talked to God, and God said that God would never talk to anyone else ever again? I spoke to God and he said that he never told Mohammed that. How do you know Mohammed wasn't just telling people what he thought they wanted to hear?"

"Your religion says that lying to non-believers is allowed? You're also allowed to lie pretty much whenever you think you can gain an advantage? How do you know that your religious leaders aren't lying to you, if your religion explicitly says that lying is allowed?"

Perhaps say well what are the good things about Islam, maybe you're right. And later down the track say well I'm not convinced sorry. But I dunno whether maybe they would simply say shut up and convert now or else.

You could try fake converting, but maybe they wouldn't believe you unless you're a good actor. Then they might torture you worse.

If you're in that situation, why not fake convert? If a Muslim with a gun pointed at your head says "convert to Islam or I kill/torture/injure you", it isn't immoral at that point to fake convert, and then pretend to have converted, and look for an opening to escape. Why not fake convert, let them think you're sincere? Eventually, they'll trust you and give you your freedom, then you run away. Or just say "I want to go back to my relatives in Israel so I can tell them how wonderful Islam is!"? Even if you're worried about being "killed for converting away from Islam", you can always assume a new identity after you escape.
