I haven't heard anything about the other people involved being charged. What Penny did was defend himself and others on the train from a crazed lunatic bum. What else can you do in that situation? The city of NY knew Neely was a known problem but instead of locking him up or getting him help, they left him to mix in with the general public. I hope they don't decide to persecute Penny. He just defended himself.

People from the city are driving up the prices where I live. Any house you might want to live in gets far more than their asking price.

I've traveled on the trains to NY in the past and don't remember people like Neely. There were odd people but they weren't in your face or violent. That just isn't acceptable ever, but it was more under control in the past .

I can't believe what you dealt with on a train. I would be traumatized. NYC should be very ashamed of what they've become.
