We use a streaming TV thing called Philo which is 25/mo for coverage of most cable entertainment channels. But it doesn't include ESPN or any news outlets by default. Generally for other streaming services the highest cost upgrades are always sports packages, followed by the cable news - CNN, MSNBC, Fox, etc. The latter have 0/negative value today if you're a reasonable adult.
I think it makes sense to pay just for events and not have multiple 24x7 sports channels streaming in, which is what costs the most.
